Our Role in Climate Initiatives
Ascent Partners Foundation, a registered charity under Hong Kong's Inland Revenue Department (IRD) Section 88, supports climate action through two primary mechanisms: facilitating major forums that convene stakeholders for dialogue on sustainable development, and supporting the development of open-access platforms that provide practical tools for climate adaptation and mitigation.
Our approach focuses on creating connections and providing access to evidence-based resources rather than implementing climate projects directly.
NBS Hub Platform
Ascent Partners Foundation supports the development of nbshub.manus.space, an open-access platform providing actionable guidance for planning and implementing Nature-Based Solutions (NbS) projects.
The platform offers evidence-based resources aligned with global policy frameworks including the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration, the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, and the Paris Agreement.

Forum Facilitation
Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development 2024
Ascent Partners Foundation supported APFSD 2024, the region's largest intergovernmental platform on sustainable development, facilitating dialogue on SDG implementation and regional cooperation.
The forum convened government officials, UN agencies, civil society organizations, and private sector representatives to review progress on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and discuss regional approaches to climate action, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable development.
Asia-Pacific Business Forum 2023
Ascent Partners Foundation supported the logistics and coordination of APBF 2023, which convened business leaders, government officials, and civil society representatives to discuss sustainable business practices.
The forum focused on sustainable finance, decarbonization strategies, and socially responsible business practices, creating opportunities for dialogue and partnership formation among diverse stakeholders.
Climate Resilience Dialogue
Panel discussion on NDC commitment and emission gaps towards net-zero climate resilient development in Asia and the Pacific
Ascent Partners Foundation facilitates engagement between climate experts, policymakers, and philanthropic communities through participation in UN Environment Programme dialogues on climate action and resilience.
These discussions focus on bridging the gap between national climate commitments and implementation pathways, with emphasis on nature-based solutions and ecosystem restoration as key strategies for achieving net-zero targets.
Climate-Induced Migration
Ascent Partners Foundation supported the IOM Gala Dinner 2023, which featured panel discussions on the intersection of climate change and migration.
The event convened government officials, NGO leaders, and private sector representatives to discuss strategies for addressing climate-induced displacement and supporting affected communities.
